Anna, 18, requests medical assistance in dying. The date she sets for herself leaves only fifteen days to fulfill her wish of seeing her half-sisters again before she passes away. Each sister’s strength is revealed throughout this epic journey, which forces them to confront their fears and limitations. By opening themselves to the complexity of one another’s lives, they discover sisterhood beyond their disagreements with their father, who has been convicted of rape.

Two young sisters - Clara and Sarah Gagnon - have always lived in the countryside with their parents, within a Christian community cut off from the world. Clara arrives at Montreal with his aunt Louise, who is unknown to him, and discovers with horror that his sister is not there. When her aunt tells her that she is about to go on vacation, Clara realizes that she only has ten days to find her sister. During his research throughout the city, Clara discovers the world, doubt and the price of freedom.

At the same time, Claire, Simon’s mother, a famous opera singer, returns to work in the country after 15 years of absence. Fascinated by this woman he hardly knows but whom he idealizes, Simon persists in trying to create a bond with her. Weakened by the failure of these two impossible loves, Simon will have no choice but to realize that he deserves better.
